Applications
Marine
Cleaning below deck, around engines, and in close quarters is difficult and
often creates less than desirable results. Dry ice blasting is effective in removing grease, grime, oil, paint, barnacles, salt
deposits, mold, mildew, and rust from interior and exterior surfaces. Completely removes algae, sea slime, mussels and anti-fading
paint from ship hulls, seawater intake valves, engine rooms, etc. Since dry ice sublimates on contact, surfaces are left clean and
ready for paint, sealant or refurbishment.
Bridge pilings, sea walls, docks, processing plants, marinas and all structures that come in touch with water and sea life develop
corrosion and buildups. In order to improve the longevity of equipment and structures dry ice blasting is proven to be a fast,
effective and environmentally responsible solution.
Conventional methods for cleaning in a marine environment often involve sandblasting, hydro-blasting, and laborious and lengthy hours
of sanding, scraping and grinding. These methods often create new problems due to their abrasiveness and effect on other surfaces and
equipment. Containment systems may also be affected and extreme care must be taken for the environment. Dry ice blasting is
nonabrasive and effective in cleaning surfaces without causing damage to the substrate. Unlike conventional methods, dry ice
sublimates on contact and does not create any secondary contaminants or waste, making it much better for the environment. Since it is
in fact "dry", the dry ice cleaning process has little impact on containment systems.
Benefits include improved look and feel to surfaces and equipment, elimination of long hours spent sanding and
scraping, shorter downtime of vessels and equipment, elimination of grit and sandy residue, and improved operation of vessels and
equipment.

Food Processing
Maintaining a clean kitchen, food processing, and conveyor equipment is
essential to producing quality food products and services. Dry ice cleaning can remove grease, contaminants, food residue, buildups,
and is used where water or solvents should not be used. Conveyors, production ovens, boilers, grills, hoods, smoke houses, food
processors, venting systems, mixers and piping can be cleaned without disassembly and often while still in operation.
Removing carbon buildup, grease and other contaminants in your production ovens, without disassembly and while the ovens are hot has
never been easier. Dry ice blasting will clean your oven plates with dry ice pellets that disintegrate and dissipate leaving no
secondary waste or residual blasting media to clean up or dispose of. Dry ice blasting is safe, non-abrasive and non-conductive.
Using dry ice eliminates the need for labor-intensive scrubbing and expensive and potentially dangerous solvents. Since dry ice is
blasted at -110 degrees Fahrenheit it is effective in eliminating contaminants, protein residues, mold, and mildew.
Benefits include reduced labor hours, reduced downtime of equipment and employees, thoroughly cleaned equipment, longer lifespan of
equipment, removal of allergens, liability from safety concerns, reduced cost, and meets FDA, USDA and EPA guidelines.

Foundry
Dry ice blasting can cut mold cleaning time by as much as 50%. Dry ice
effectively removes sand and buildups as well as grease and residues that can be labor intensive and tedious to clean. Dry ice
effectively permeates cracks and crevices to remove debris resulting in a higher quality end product and increased lifespan of
machinery and equipment.
Dry ice will remove grease, lubricants, dust, ink and carbon from equipment. Since dry ice is nonconductive we can safely clean
around electrical equipment, circuit boards, motors, hydraulics, etc. Dry ice is capable of cleaning technical, sensitive equipment
at low pressures and aggressive enough to clean tough buildups on molds using high pressure. Our services include assembly of barriers
and containment systems to prevent obstruction of work in process or work performed in close proximity to what is being cleaned.
Benefits include reduced labor hours, reduced downtime for employees and equipment, extended life of molds and equipment, elimination
of grit substances, faster cleaning time, and increased productivity of employees and equipment.

Electrical
Dry ice is one of the best, if not the best, solution for cleaning all types of
power generating and electrical equipment. Dry ice cleaning restores both rotating and stationary electrical equipment to peak
performance with dramatically shorter outages.
Dry ice blasting is a nonconductive process, which makes it ideal for the power generation industry. Since electrical and power
generating areas are difficult to clean they are often overlooked for maintenance. The dry ice blasting process safely removes
dirt, grease, and other residues from generators, electric motors, stator windings and other sensitive equipment. Power generation
is critical to industry so prompt cleaning and maintenance can help avoid outages and keep equipment running efficiently.
Benefits include quicker and superior clean, reduced or shorter outages, longer lasting equipment, improved efficiency of equipment,
nonconductive, nontoxic, and lower overall costs of equipment and servicing equipment.

Mold and Mildew
Dry ice blasting removes mold spores from wood and does so up to 70% faster
than traditional cleaning methods. Dry ice blasting is capable of getting in to hard to reach places, in crevices, and around nails
and screws. Dry ice can be safely blasted around wiring, plumbing, and pipe fixtures without causing damage.
Unlike other methods that simply wash away surface mold and mildew, the low temperature of dry ice (-110 degrees) kills mold and mildew
on contact. Dry ice blasting quickly permeates deeply into wood and other surfaces to remove mold spores without the need for expensive
and often ineffective solvents. The dry ice blasting process also eliminates the need for laborious sanding and scraping.
In order to successfully remove mold from a building the source of the mold and moisture must be eliminated. Mold can cause health
problems as well as endanger the structure itself. Once it is certain the source of the problem has been resolved dry ice blasting
is the best solution for removing mold. Due to the speed and effectiveness of dry ice blasting, mold removal will take a fraction
of the time when compared to traditional methods.
Benefits include reduced labor hours, elimination of expensive and potentially toxic chemicals, improved health quality due to the
absence of mold spores and chemicals, shorter clean times to allow occupancy in a shorter timeframe, improved aesthetic look of
property, and longevity and quality of your structure.

Printing
Dry ice blasting enhances equipment performance and improves productivity in
the Printing Industry. Dry ice blasting significantly reduces downtime of equipment and personnel because printing equipment can be
cleaned on-line without the expensive process of disassembly and reassembly.
Ink buildups, grease, and dirty equipment can result in poor print quality and a high amount of waste. These factors also impact
the long term efficiency and operation of expensive printing equipment.
Lengthy cleaning processes can now be shortened by on-line precision cleaning with dry ice blasting. The radial feed series blast
systems speed up the cleaning process and provide a more thorough clean. Dry ice pellets have the mass and density required to remove
all types of solvent and water based inks and varnishes without damaging equipment and surfaces, resulting in optimal equipment
performance, higher profits and increased productivity.
It takes long hours and expensive solvents to scrape, wipe and clean hard to reach surface areas. When once press needs cleaning,
typically all presses need cleaning and this can lead to significant downtimes and lost revenue. Dry ice permeates crevices to remove
ink, grease, and dirt to keep equipment operating efficiently. We will work closely with you to establish a timely cleaning schedule
to avoid downtime and keep your plant operating profitably and on schedule.
Benefits include shorter downtime, longer lasting equipment, faster and deeper cleaning of your equipment, productivity improvements,
cost savings, and ultimately higher production and profitability.

General Maintenance
Dry ice blasting is ideal for cleaning most industrial surfaces and equipment
including machinery, tools, conveyors, presses, electrical panels, and more. Dry ice blasting is nonconductive, nonabrasive, and
nonflammable, which makes it ideal for all types of industry and equipment. Since dry ice sublimates on contact there is no grit or
media to contend with after the cleaning process. Dirt, grease, grime, and residues are removed in a fraction of the time it takes
other methods, in many cases up to 75% faster.
Our process is also an ideal solution because surfaces and equipment are often cleaned in place without the tedious and expensive
process of disassembly and reassembly. This allows production workers to spend more time on production and less time performing
nonproductive and non-revenue generating tasks. Also, since our process is "dry" there is no prolonged downtime waiting for surfaces
to dry. Surfaces can receive new coatings almost immediately.
Dry ice cleaning is also the environmentally responsible cleaning method because we do not contribute to secondary waste. The end
result from our cleaning process is whatever is removed from the surface we clean. While our competition is filling dumpsters with
debris, grit media, and excess materials, we're filling buckets with only the material removed from your equipment. This provides our
clients big savings in hazmat and disposal costs.
Benefits include faster and superior clean, safe for employees and the environment, decreased downtime for equipment and production
workers, absence of grit and other media, reduced waste disposal costs, and improved lifespan and performance of equipment.

and have standing master services agreements with most major oil and gas companies.
Dry ice blasting safely removes old paint, rust, carbon buildup, debris, and corrosion from silos, pumping stations, machinery and
electronics, holding tanks, and piping. Dry ice blasting is ideal for oil and gas because it is nonabrasive, nonflammable, and
nonconductive. It is capable of getting into tight spaces and crevices that other methods cannot. Dry ice blasting does not
contribute to secondary waste and is therefore an environmentally responsible solution.
Benefits include faster and more thorough cleaning, improved uptime and longevity of equipment, no harmful emissions, safe for
employees and the environment, cleaning without shutdowns, aggressive for tough surfaces and sensitive to delicate equipment.

Graffiti Removal
Dry ice blasting is very effective in removing graffiti from all types of
surfaces including steel, concrete, and painted surfaces. In most cases our equipment is sensitive enough to remove graffiti without
impacting the original painted finish.
Dry ice blasting is nonabrasive and does not contribute to secondary waste. Since dry ice sublimates on contact, the only cleanup is
what is being removed from the surface. Other methods involving grit, liquids, or solvents require containment to avoid making a
bigger mess, and potentially more hazardous waste. Dry ice blasting can restore surfaces to their original state without creating
damage or pitting of the substrate.
Benefits include fast and thorough cleaning of substrate, safe and environmentally responsible, nonabrasive to surfaces, and capable
of removing graffiti without impacting the original finish.

Historical Restoration
Dry ice blasting is an ideal solution for historic restoration because it is
nonabrasive, chemical-free, and can remove layers of coatings and aging while restoring surfaces to their original splendor. Our
process will also clean in a fraction of the time compared with other methods and avoid the laborious tasks of scraping, sanding,
and brushing surfaces. Dry ice blasting is highly effective and efficient in restoring the detail of historic structures.
Dry ice blasting contributes no secondary waste further minimizing cleanup and saving time. We effectively remove smoke damage,
fire damage, layers of paint, rust, mold and other aging factors. Dry ice blasting is effective in restoring statues and monuments
without the need for chemicals that can potentially cause discoloration, alter the integrity of the surface, and contribute to
hazardous waste. Our process is capable of cleaning off layers at a time and will permeate small crevices in order to restore
objects to their original detail.
Benefits include the absence of chemicals that can cause damage to what you are attempting to restore, no contribution to secondary
waste, faster and more efficient cleaning, and the deep clean necessary to restore objects to their original state.

Fire Restoration
Dry ice blasting has become the preferred method to remove toxic residues,
soot, and odors associated with fire damage. A fire can cause smoke damage and charring of wood, bricks, concrete and metal, not
to mention the musty, burnt smell it leaves behind. Dry ice blasting removes soot and char on surfaces without causing damage to
the substrate and reduces or removes unpleasant odors.
Dry ice blasting is capable of cleaning hard to reach locations around trusses, nails, wiring, and plumbing. These areas are commonly
cleaned by sanding, scraping, wire brushing, or reconstruction. Not only will dry ice blasting provide a more thorough cleaning, it
completes the job in half the time. This speeds up the time of occupancy and saves money!
Dry ice blasting is nonabrasive and does not contribute to secondary waste. Since dry ice sublimates on contact, the only cleanup is
what is being removed from the surface. Other methods involving grit, liquids, or solvents require containment to avoid making a
bigger mess. Dry ice blasting can restore surfaces to their original state without creating damage or pitting of the substrate.
In addition, dry ice blasting kills mold and mildew, which may be present if moisture problems exist.
Benefits include faster and more thorough cleaning, occupancy in a shorter timeframe, removal of odors, and elimination of mold and
mildew concerns.
